The Liefies

This was taken May of 2004 near our home. I drive by these cattails nearly every day–usually when the day is late and the sun sets up some nice backlighting.

This is a small orchid in the Como Park Conservatory (St. Paul, MN). Each flower is no more than an inch across. All of the yellow in this picture are orchids from the same plant. Taken 1 May 2005 with an f of 2.8 to really narrow the depth of field.
