Imfolozi Zebra Foal
Saturday, March 25th, 2006Here’s a zebra foal we came across in the Imfolozi Game Reserve in South Africa (Natal Province) this past December.
Just to make certain all observers know this–every picture you see posted here was taken either by RAT, Leo, or Michelle. We don’t post other peoples’ pictures!
Camel Ride
Tuesday, March 21st, 2006Riding a camel is a unique way to explore the Uluru-Kata Tjuta region and these gentle giants will surprise you with their intelligence, patience and good manners. Join a sunrise or sunset ride to view the changing colours of Uluru from a secluded hilltop surrounded by spinifex and desert oaks.

Imfolozi Kudu Ewe
Saturday, March 11th, 2006One of the first things we saw on our day-long drive through the Imfolozi (or Umfolozi) Game Reserve was a herd of female kudu. Leo and I have a really nice 70-200 mm zoom, which we had to give to the other every hour. I had it first. When the herd got [...]

Sunday, March 5th, 2006South African Weaver
Saturday, March 4th, 2006We spent a wonderful week in St. Lucia (the place in South Africa, not the Caribbean island), which is a world heritage site. St. Lucia the town is on the Indian Ocean coast about halfway between Durban and the Mozambique border. During this week we spent a day driving through the Imfolozi Game [...]
