Como Park Flower

Tuesday, November 28th, 2006

This was taken almost 2 years ago in the Como Park Conservatory in St. Paul, MN. Leo and I met some friends there to give them a photography lesson, and then went around taking pictures. I don’t know what kind of flower this is. This conservatory is now bigger than it used [...]

Why Did the Rhino Cross the Road?

Saturday, November 18th, 2006

This was taken in 2003 on a December morning in the Kruger National Park in South Africa. This animal’s length is about the same as maybe half the width of the road. Yikes! I find rhinos a lot more intimidating than bison in the Black Hills.

Tuesday, November 7th, 2006

This was taken in the Kruger National Park in South Africa in 2003. These are a type of stork. We were driving around in the park and decided to check out a pond. We found three of these large storks there. In the air they look a lot like flying reptiles!

The Other Side

Saturday, November 4th, 2006

Inside Little India and looking back at the sign you will notice the sign is no longer in English. It still says Happy Deepavali. I also wanted to get a close up of the peacock in the center of the sign without getting run down by all of the traffic in the [...]
