We also saw plenty of wildebeast in the Umfolozi Game Reserve (KwaZulu-Natal Province, South Africa). I guess it never registered in my head that they have faint zebra stripes on the front halves of their bodies. They look mean but they struck me as being a bit shy.

This is a male giraffe chomping on some high leaves next to the road we were on in the Umfolozi Game Reserve in the province of Kwazulu-Natal, South Africa. You can tell it’s a male by the fact that its horns are thick. Also, a giraffe’s coloring get darker as it ages. [...]
Aiyee!!! During our stay within the game reserve in South Africa, a few warthogs wandered by. They always kept an eye on me when I got close, but didn’t seem too terribly frightened of me. I was cautious and managed to get this shot off with a telephoto zoom lens. Eeeeeyikes.
This picture goes along with the one that I posted on January 22, 2007. This alter is besides the main building for the Dragon Mountain Temple in Taipei. I was really fascinated with the colors and detail of the dragons.
